Learn to ski or learn to snowboard! Camp Fortune offers beginner ski lessons and snowboard lessons just 15 minutes from downtown Ottawa in Chelsea, Québec.
Beginner 101 Session: Ski or Snowboard
AGES 7 and UP. 2 Hour Initiation Program
This is a 2-hour, group session for those that are new to snow sports. The Beginner 101 program includes a one-time only, 2-hour group lesson, access to the beginner area and rental equipment, including a helmet, and can only be booked online.
The instructor teaches the first time skier or snowboarder basic skills including safe handling of equipment, how to balance, stopping techniques, speed control and basic turns.
The lesson takes place on the magic carpet learning area.
We supply the skis or snowboard and boots and the helmet.
You come dressed in your warm winter gear.

Class Times:
10:15 am to 12:15 pm OR 1:30 pm to 3:30 pm.

Available for ages 4+ and all ski levels.
Private ski lessons are a great way to learn as our instructors can adapt the lesson to your ski level and focus on your specific needs. Lessons are priced per person and are available for 1 or 2 people. All participants in the same lesson must be the same skill level and the same age range.
Please book online in advance. Scheduled lessons go ahead regardless of weather conditions, ie, snow, rain, cold. Please be sure to arrive well prepared for any weather conditions that day.
All private lessons are non-transferable and non-refundable. Reservation is only for the named participant.
A valid lift ticket is required for all lesson participants. Ski rentals are also available and can be purchased online.
