We would like to share a few important updates with our mountain biking, trail running and trail user community.
🚧SKYLINE CONSTRUCTION WORK AND TRAIL CLOSURES🚧
You may have noticed ongoing construction on the Skyline chairlift, lift shacks, and top off-load ramp. The access to complete this work is via Humdinger and several closures are in place.
The work should be completed by the beginning of July. Until this time, the top of Skyline and Humdinger are closed to all users from the hours of 7 am to 5 pm, from Monday to Friday, as trucks will be present on the road.
Additionally, the following trails will remain closed 24/7 until further notice as they intersect the construction zone:
- ⛔Q-Cup
- ⛔National
Sunset, Salamander, Bill’s and Dirty Little Secret can only be accessed after 5 pm on weekdays, or anytime on Saturdays and Sundays.
⚠️Please use extreme caution when accessing the skills park via lower Humdinger.
⚠️ For your safety, please respect ALL TRAIL CLOSURE signs, ribbons and barricades.
TRAIL PASSES
We thank you for supporting the ongoing maintenance and future improvements of our trail network by purchasing a trail pass! If you haven’t already, please encourage your fellow rides and trail users to buy a pass to support the work that keeps our trails in great shape.
We will be distributing trail tags in the coming weeks so you can display your membership and not have to carry your phone. More to come once the tags arrive.
UPDATE ON LIFT SERVICED DOWNHILL
As the construction work at Skyline is projected to wrap up around July 1st, we’ll begin reinstalling chairs, performing slip tests, installing bike racks etc and aim to kick off the lift serviced downhill MTB season by mid-July.
TRAIL MAP, UPDATES AND TRAIL WORK
We hope to claim the Trail Forks listing and embed it in our website, this seems like the best way to share the up-to-date trail network, current conditions and closures. We are hoping to have this done in the coming weeks and feel it is the best solution for us and all trail users.
For the latest updates on trail work, closures, and more be sure to follow the @campfortunetrailcrew on Instagram. The crew is very dedicated and puts in a ton of effort to keep the trails in top shape – so give them a high five when you see them out there! And just a quick reminder: allow the crew to to their work in line with our operational plans and insurance requirements. Do not modify trails in any way, add features or reroutes. The trail approval process is a long one, let us do our thing according to the plans and process! Thank you.
UPCOMING EVENTS
We are hosting trail runs on June 28 and Aug 24 which will result in trail closures. These closures will be posted at a later date.
PS The Marin Wildside was wild! Thanks to everyone who came out.
Thank you for your patience, cooperation, and continued support! Looking forward to seeing you on the trails!
