Camp Fortune’s Acrobag will be open this Saturday and Sunday from 11 am to 3 pm
The Camp Fortune Aerial Park and zip lines will be at the Ottawa Outdoor Adventure and Travel Show March 15 & 16 at the Ernst and Young Centre.
This is a free day of skiing/riding. Our goal is to:Evaluate potential TA’s and instructors as to their skiing/riding abilities; inform you as to what you can expect should you join the team;the academy’s expectation of instructors/teaching assistants; and gather contact information to communicate with you in the fall.
Who should be there? Potential Teaching Assistants – 12-14 years old, potential Instructors – 15 years old and up and certified instructors looking to join our team

Register your own creation and compete to win or come and cheer along the cardboard sled racers. Build a sled using the following items ONLY:Tape, string, garbage bags, glue, cardboard. Paint and accessories are allowed for decoration. Costumes are encouraged. Helmets are mandatory. Race it down our hill for a chance to win great prizes. Prizes will be awarded for fastest sled, best crash, best overall sled and longest run. Event is FREE to enter and will be late afternoon 3 pm to 6 pm (times subject to change) Registration
Brought to you by Kunstadt Sports and Camp Fortune Dual Slalom $1,000 for 1st Place(With a total of $1,500 in prizes to be won). Prizes will be distributed to the top 8 men and the top 4 women. Every competitor will be guaranteed at least 2 race runs. Date: Sunday March 23rd, 2014. This Race is an Open Event for K2 up to Masters Racers, FIS Racers, or anyone who thinks they can be the King of the Mountain.
The Duffy Dual Mogul Challenge 2014
The Duffy Dual Mogul Challenge will be held at Camp Fortune on Sunday March 30 in memory of Dave and Thomas Duffy, two truly dedicated mogul skiers who died tragically in a car accident on the way to a mogul competition on Feb 22, 2012. It will be presented in the spirit of the Piccolo Grande Dual Mogul Challenge 2008 in which both Dave and Thomas were integral parts. Training day shall be Saturday March 29.Entry Fees before March 28
$28 all categories except OPEN, $46 OPEN. All entry fees shall be $10 more after March 28. All net proceeds will be donated to the Thomas Duffy Athlete of the Year Award recipient.
Prizes and Medals
The first three skiers in each category shall receive a medal. There will be over $2,000 in cash and prizes. In the open category cash prizes shall be as follows: $300 first, $200 second, $100 third
All other prizes shall be name draws.
There will be male and female divisions in all categories except the open category. If there are not enough competitors in any one category the participants will be moved to the next nearest reasonable age group at the discretion of the organizer.12-14, 14-16, 17+, 30+, 40+, 50+, Open
The rules will be similar to F.I.S. rules with a few changes.
Each skier will be given one seeding run on the course of his/her choice. This run will be timed
Pairs will be determined from the seeding for each category as follows: First seed v. last seed, second seed v. second last seed, and so on.
The higher seed in each pair chooses his/her course
If there is an uneven number of skiers in any category the first seed shall get a by
Format is sudden death with the winner going on to the next round.
The second set of jumps will be a little bigger than the first set to encourage bigger air on the bottom jumps
There will be no moguls after the second air and the contestant will be judged to his/her landing point
Switch take-offs and landings will be permitted with extra points being awarded for both
Inverts will only be allowed by skiers that are qualified through the CFSA or who qualify before a panel on Saturday March 29.
